The Way Knows the Way: Your Channeled Reading & Tarot Spread for Aries Season

Gentle medicine and supportive guidance for the cycle at hand

How do we make our way through a path with no clarity about where we are going, what direction we should turn, and little to no light to illuminate our way? That, in a nutshell, is the crux of these times, and more specifically, of this particular Aries season.

Aries energy is the dawn of a new astrological year. It is the cry of the newborn, the rising of the sun, the light of a new day. Aries energy is a midwife, holding space at the crossroads, warming the earth back up in the Northern Hemisphere, and simultaneously cooling things down in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Equinoxes — which happen on the first days of Aries and Libra seasons, respectively — help us to see where we’re at and what’s going on so we can make relevant and necessary changes. Sometimes, the starkness of what we’re called to see in these times can be confronting, even painful. The big work we often do in Aries and Libra seasons is rooted in this important re-orientation, and re-evaluation: what the fuck are we doing and why are we doing it?

But this is Aries season in a Hermit year. This is cardinal fire in a fog. This is an attempt to light the way with a flickering candle. We don’t know the way, and yet we’re trying to forge ahead. How do we manage, traverse, and navigate these times?

One of my favorite Threshold Choir songs is “The Way Knows the Way,” which was written and composed by Lyndsey Scott, who is linked above. Here are the lyrics:

A hymn for any moment, but especially for this one.

We are doing Aries energy within a Hermit structure this year, shining that lantern down and in to see how we are growing, what’s blooming, and what might be needing to take the season off.

It is a time of big suspension and surrender, energetically speaking, which is hard to square with Aries’ powerful fire. I don’t know much about where we are going right now, but I know for sure that we are evolving. We are not stuck, even though it might feel like it. We are absolutely blooming forward, albeit in a different, slower, and less familiar way than what we’re used to.

Can we allow the spiralling nature of this time to slowly and steadily reveal to us what’s ready to be witnessed, acknowledged, felt, and processed? Can we be honest with ourselves about how we might be changing? What we might be loving, or falling out of love with? Can we be present with that, without necessarily needing to change anything until we are ready?

From around March 20th to April 20th, the sun will be in Aries, and during that time, we will be moving through and working with the Tarot energies that are connected to Aries, as well as the Tarot energies that showed up for us in our collective Tarot reading for Aries season, which we will dive into below:
