I shared an episode about The Pages as Sacred Compasses on Tarot for the Wild Soul podcast the other day, in honor of my upcoming workshop about The Court Cards.

I wanted to take this idea of considering The Pages as anchors and compasses and expand upon it by sharing a Tarot spread that I go to when I don’t know what the fuck I’m supposed to do, and have no sense of my own North Star.

It is easy to lose sight or track of the path in our forest, or misplace our own sense of North in macro ways and micro ways. We can look at the happenings in the world and feel lost and directionless. We can look at the challenges, the struggles in our own lives and feel lost and directionless. We can become so entrenched in an identity that we forget who we are outside of this. If we’re in this kind of rudderless place, this Tarot spread can help. (For what it’s worth, The North Star Spread also helps me a lot when I’m in AuDHD-related flooding or overwhelm, when I can’t quite sense into what the best first step might be in one area or another.)

Of course, I want to name that it is perfectly acceptable to go to your Tarot deck and just tune in to it for advice and guidance on this topic — no special spreads needed. We can always just ask, “What card is helping me to come back to my sense of True North right now?” and we will receive an answer.

But if we feel that the answer or the card pull we receive seems lacking, we can turn to something like The North Star Spread to help.
