How to work with our Tarot decks when we don’t feel the earth under our feet?
Medicine to help us to come back to this moment and everything within it

I gave a Tarot reading to someone the other day who was in extreme flux, and moving through a very heightened, stressful situation. “I’m honestly not even sure of what questions to ask,” my client said. “I don’t have much in the way of ground under my feet right now.”
Most of us can relate to this client’s experience, or have been able to relate to it at some point in time.
We might want to check in with our Tarot decks and receive nourishing wisdom for the moment we find ourselves in, but it can be very challenging to feel like we’re able to know what questions to ask, what to say, or how to frame our prompts in moments when we feel groundless.
Co-creating strong and helpful Tarot prompts with my clients for the present moment is one of the best parts of my job as a reader, and this client and I were able to access some medicine that was really helpful to them. But what if we don’t have a Tarot reader and/or a warm sounding board to bounce off of in these moments?
This piece will hopefully address ways to gently break through the void-like feelings of freefall in these kinds of situations, and help us to come to a place of grounded connection with our Tarot decks – one that meets us where we are.
