☀️I have only three 60-minute Soul Tarot Readings remaining for February! If you’d like to claim one for yourself, you may do so here.
☀️If you’re looking for a potent way to sense into the medicine of 2025 and your year ahead, I’d like to recommend my offering, The Threshold! The Threshold comes with three robust pre-recorded channeled audio downloads about the medicine, energies, and invitations of the year ahead and a beautiful workbook. You can learn more about The Threshold, or sign up for it here.
This year, I was lucky enough to be able to join a Threshold Choir in my area.
Threshold Choirs offer many things, but the main function and purpose is to allow folks to sing at the bedside of dying folks or animals, and/or for the family members and beloved ones of the dying person.
The members of the choir all meet as often as is possible for us, and we sing together.
We sing about being blessings in a dark time, we sing about being a sanctuary so we may serve others, we sing about the cold winter, we sing about letting go, about trusting yourself, about never, ever being alone. We share bits about our lives, and things we are struggling with, or celebrating.
It is a balm and a privilege to be there, to be singing about these themes with so many people from all walks of life. It has given me a gift that I didn’t even know that I could have wished for, much less received: to be able to sing medicinal, balm-like songs with an intergenerational community. My nearly 3 year old daughter loves the songs too, and we sing them all day long in our home at her request. It is one of the most cherished “candles” in my life right now, offering warmth and beauty in both bright and dark moments alike.
Today is the Solstice and the first day of Capricorn season. Here in the Northern Hemisphere, we are bowing to the deep night — to darkness, to the winter — while simultaneously welcoming back the light, the warmth, the longer days and the shorter nights. Only Capricorn energy could help us to make it through this time on the wheel of the year, pulsing through us, encouraging us to keep going, to keep hoping for those brighter days in spite of how foolish, or costly that might seem.
Capricorn is so many things. It’s the hardest worker in the zodiac. It is the mountain goat, climbing that mountain. Capricorn can do anything – they want to help, create, and scale. In fact, one of the deepest lessons for Capricorn is figuring out what not to do: what to say no to, what to preserve their energy for. I don’t think it’s an accident that Capricorn season starts on the Solstice, a time when we’re being invited to bow to what’s present, and hold a space of preparation for what is on its way.
Things are so challenging right now, so immensely frightening, tight, and exhausting for so many. What are the “candles” in your life in this season, the things that you cherish, that feel like a balm and a gift? What are you looking forward to? What is beautiful in your life right now, living and breathing alongside despair?
From around December 21st to January 21st, the sun will be in Capricorn, and during that time, we will be moving through and working with the Tarot energies that are connected to Capricorn, as well as the Tarot energies that showed up for us in our collective Tarot reading for Capricorn season.
